Detection of Carcinomas Using 123Iodine-Labeled T84.66 Diabody Antibody Fragment to Carcinoembryonic Antigen (CEA)
You have been asked to participate in this study because you have biopsy-proven colorectal cancer and are scheduled to undergo surgery for diagnostic or treatment purposes. The purpose of this study is to determine whether an experimental agent called 123Iodine Labeled cT84.66 Diabody Antibody Fragments can be used to locate colorectal cancer, including cancer deposits that might not be detected by standard methods. Additional purposes are to measure the amount of radiation absorbed by tumor tissue and normal tissue, to measure how long it takes the drug to break down and the radiation to leave the body, to evaluate how the immune system reacts to the experimental agent, to determine the safety of the agent, and to evaluate the effects of using the agent on treatment. Your participation in this study is expected to last a total of 6 months.
