A clinical trial evaluate the safety and efficacy of a study drug versus placebo in patients with a clear cell renal cell carcinoma and a high risk of recurrence
Summary
Wilex AG is conducting a clinical trial to evaluate disease free
survival in subjects taking the study drug compared to those taking
placebo in subjects who have a high risk of recurrence of clear
cell renal cell carcinoma, post removal of kidney cell cancer.
To qualify, you must
- Have prior nephrectomy (removal of kidney or portion of kidney)
of primary kidney cell cancer with documented clear cell
cancer.
- At least 18 years old.
You will not qualify if you:
- Have evidence of residual disease
- Have had nephrectomy more than 12 weeks ago
- Have tested positive for HIV I and II as well as Hepatitis B or
C
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Have had prior organ transplantation
- Have received prior radiation, immunotherapy or chemotherapy
within the last 5 years
- Have any other active or past cancer within the last 5 years
(except non melanoma skin cancer, or cervical cancer)
