Research Study Summary

Do you suffer from gout?

Purpose

Objective of the study is to assess the efficacy and safety of Febuxostat 40 mg QD and Febuxostat 80 mg QD, compared to Allopurinol in subjects with hyperuricemia and gout. The study's duration is 6 months long.

Patient Inclusion Criteria

  • Male or female (18 to 85 years of age)
  • History or presence of gout

Patient Exclusion Criteria

  • Received ULT within 30 days of randomizing
  • History of cancer, other than basal cell, within 5 years
  • Rheumatoid arthritis requiring treatment
