Chronic Migraine Headaches
The purpose of this research study is to evaluate the effects of peripheral nerve stimulation (exciting a specific nerve, outside the brain and spinal cord) in migraine headaches. This is a medical device study.
Study procedures will be made available to you at no cost.
To qualify, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have been diagnosed with chronic migraine headaches
- Have been on stable migraine medications without changes for the previous 3 months.
You will not qualify if you:
- Are pregnant or breast-feeding
- Have diabetes
- Have a cardiac pacemaker or implanted cardiac defibrillator
- Have any metallic implants, for example, cochlear implant, CSF shunt, aneurysm clip, or spinal cord stimulator
- Have received neurotoxin therapy (Botox for example) within 6 months prior to joining this study
