RESULTS

Found (32) clinical trials

A randomized double blind study comparing the effect of ticagrelor versus placebo on the incidence of cardiovascular death, myocardial infarction or stroke in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Phase N/A

A double blind placebo controlled study to evaluate the effects of bexagliflozin on hemoglobin A1c in patients with type 2 diabetes and increased risk of cardiovascular adverse events.

Phase

This is an event driven study to reach statistical power given all other assumptions. Subjects will visit the clinic 1 month after randomization and at regular intervals thereafter. Additionally, for any subject prematurely discontinuing study medication, assessments will be conducted every 6 months for the collection of study endpoints.

Phase

Male and female subjects aged 18 years or older, with chronic HF (NYHA class II-IV), reduced ejection fraction (< 45%), elevated natriuretic peptides, and previous HFdecompensation (defined as HF hospitalization or use of IV diuretics for HF [without hospitalization]) will be enrolled in this trial.

Phase N/A

COMPASSION XT PAS - Post-approval Study of the SAPIEN XT THV in Patients With Pulmonary Valve Dysfunction

The study is a prospective, non-randomized, multi-center clinical study to assess the safety and effectiveness of pulmonic implantation of the SAPIEN THV in patients with dysfunctional RVOT conduits requiring treatment for moderate or severe pulmonary regurgitation (PR) by transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) and/or RVOT conduit obstruction with a mean gradient of ...

Phase N/A

A Prospective Study of Breast Cancer Patients With Abnormal Strain Imaging

150 patients will be prospectively consented/screened. Over the course of the study, 30 patients are expected to develop abnormal strain with a normal EF > 53%. They will be randomized in 1:1 fashion to open label carvedilol vs. no treatment. All consenting patients will receive a baseline echocardiogram and blood ...

Phase

Point of Care Ultrasonography

This is a Prospective, Double-center, randomized clinical trial. The purpose of the trial is to evaluate the benefit of adding POC US to the management of inpatients admitted to the internal ward with respiratory, cardiovascular or hemodynamic abnormalities. This is a stage 1 pilot trial aimed to provide better understanding ...

Phase N/A

Heartflow (AFFECTS)

The overall objective of the AFFECTS Study is to assess agreement between SPECT and FFRct in identifying vessel-specific, hemodynamically significant CAD in patients scheduled for invasive coronary angiography (ICA) based on abnormal SPECT myocardial perfusion scans. In particular, the study will evaluate the ability of FFRct to correctly rule out ...

Phase

Cardiac Steatosis in Cushing's Syndrome

Despite skeletal muscle atrophy, Cushing's syndrome patients have an increased Left Ventricular mass, reversible upon correction of the hypercortisolism. This may be due to cardiac steatosis, previously demonstrated in patients with diabetes mellitus. This study aims at evaluating the myocardial triglyceride content and cardiac structure and function, using 1H magnetic ...
