The FIRE-4 study aims to define a treatment concept for patients with RAS wild-type tumours, optimised with regard to overall survival. The first-line treatment will be conducted with FOLFIRI plus cetuximab, which resulted in a significantly prolonged overall survival versus bevacizumab in the FIRE-3 study. Following initial progression (PD1) it ...

Oxaliplatin Capecitabine and Endostar as First Line Treatment for Patients With Advanced Colorectal Cancer

Among the different combination regimens of new drugs in CRC treatment, the combination of capecitabine and oxaliplatin seems especially attractive. Both drugs have a different and relatively mild toxicity profile. In phase II studies that used the recommended dose of XELOX (capecitabine 1000 mg/m2 twice daily on days 1-14 with ...

Phase

Transhepatic Arterial Chemotherapy (TAC) Versus Transcatheter Arterial Chemoembolization (TACE) Plus Folfox4 as the Treatment of Unresectable Liver Metastasis of Colorectal Cancer

We administered three cycles FOLFOX4 plus TAC(oxaliplatin,FUDR and MMC) or FOLFOX4 plus TACE(oxaliplatin,FUDR,MMC and embolision) to primary colorectal tumor resected patients with unresected liver metastasis. The study endpoints were resection rate of liver metastasis, progression-free survival, overall survival as evaluated by intent-to-treat analysis.

Phase

Preoperative Transhepatic Arterial Chemotherapy (TAC) in the Treatment of Liver Metastasis of Resectable Colorectal Cancer

We administered TAC(oxaliplatin,FUDR and MMC) 7 days before liver metastasis resection of colorectal cancer. The study endpoints were progression free survival and overall survival as evaluated by intent-to-treat analysis.

Biomarkers in Predicting Neurotoxicity in Patients With Colorectal Cancer Receiving Oxaliplatin

OBJECTIVES: Primary - Correlate predictive genetic, proteomic, and/or neurotrophic markers with neurological manifestations related to the administration of oxaliplatin in patients with colorectal carcinoma. Secondary - Differentiate between risk factors predictive of acute and chronic neurotoxicity. - Establish a possible relationship between acute and chronic neurotoxicity. OUTLINE: This is a ...

Phase

Increasing Colorectal Cancer Screening in African Americans

OBJECTIVES: - To assess the intervention impact on colorectal cancer (CRC) screening utilization over a 6-month observation period in African-American participants. - To assess the intervention impact on CRC screening preference, classified into three levels (i.e., "decided not to screen or never heard of," "undecided," or "decided to screen"), based ...

Bispecific Antibody in Finding Tumor Cells in Patients With Colorectal Cancer

OBJECTIVES: - Assess the pharmacokinetics and tissue distribution of anti-CEA x anti-HSG bispecific monoclonal antibody TF2 in patients with colorectal cancer. OUTLINE: This is a multicenter study. Patients receive iodine I 131-labeled anti-CEA x anti-HSG bispecific monoclonal antibody TF2 (^131I-TF2) IV over 10-20 minutes on day 1. Patients also undergo ...
