Washington University seeks older adults for an exercise research study!

Detailed Study Description

Dr. Linda Peterson and Dr. Andrew Coggan are conducting a research study to determine the benefits of beet root juice on exercise performance. There are 2 study visits. Each visit will last about 5 hours. There will be a 6 minute walk, strength testing using the Biodex machine, and an optional muscle biopsy. Benefits and risks will be discussed with volunteers as part of the informed consent process. Up to $250.00 is provided.
