A Washington University research study seeks children, 5 to 6 years old.

Brief description of study

The purpose of the study is to understand how perfectionism and high need for control develop in children. There will be 8 hours of in-person sessions over 2 years (2 study visits). Parents will be interviewed and complete questionnaires. Children will complete study related activities. They will also play computer games while having an EEG. Two years later, participants will be contacted for a follow-up session. Risks and benefits will be discussed with volunteers as part of the informed consent process. Up to $190.00 is provided for time and effort, along with small prizes for children (IRB # 201708077).
