Mild cognitive impairment (MCI) refers to problems with memory and thinking that go beyond normal aging, but do not interfere with daily life. MCI is associated with a higher risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease. Clinical trials are currently testing if treatments can slow or stop cognitive decline from MCI and Alzheimer’s disease.
