A Washington University research study seeks participants with hearing loss.

Detailed Study Description

The purpose of this research study is to determine if there are differences in ability to understand speech in a quiet and noisy environment and personal preferences between three different hearing aid fitting methods in participants with hearing loss. There are 5 study visits over about 14 weeks. There will be hearing tests, ear impressions, hearing aid usage, and questionnaires. Compensation or discounted hearing aids are available for time and effort. Risks and benefits will be discussed as part of the informed consent process (IRB #201609090).
