Brief description of study

A Washington University research study seeks participants with high blood pressure that is not controlled well with medication.

Detailed Study Description

The purpose of the study is to provide additional information about the potential use of an investigational medical device to help treat high blood pressure in patients not well controlled with blood pressure medications. This study lasts 3 years. There is 1 screening visit that will last about 2 hours and an overnight stay for the study procedure if eligible. There will be about 6 follow up visits. Participation includes office blood pressures, 24 hour blood pressure recording, blood and urine samples, angiogram and renal ultrasound. Risks and benefits will be discussed with volunteers as part of the informed consent process. Compensation is provided for time and travel.
