Brief description of study

A Washington University research study seeks participants with type 2 diabetes and peripheral neuropathy.

Detailed Study Description

This study will look at factors that combine to cause muscle, joint and movement deterioration in patients with type 2 diabetes. This study will last 3 years. There are up to 8 physical therapy visits. There will be completion of questionnaires, foot x-ray, motion analysis, MRI scan and CT scan of foot, skin test, vascular status test, joint mobility assessment, and blood draw. A maximum of $280 is provided for time and effort. Benefits and risks will be discussed with volunteers as part of the informed consent process (IRB # 201511090)
